THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior CPM leader T K Hamsa resigns from the position of Wakf Board Chairman. There is only one and a half years left to finish the tenure. It is reported that the reason for the resignation was a difference of opinion with Minister V Abdu Rahman. Hamsa did not attend the meetings called by the minister in Thiruvananthapuram. It was recorded in the minutes of the meeting that this was a serious misconduct.

T K Hamsa responded that he is stepping down due to health reasons and not differences in opinion. Hamsa said that the party was informed about his resignation, and the party accepted it.

Hamsa responded to the media that the age limit set by the party to hold positions in the organization and government is 75 years, and he will be 87 years old when he completes his term, so the decision was taken in consultation with the party secretariat.

Minister Abdu Rahman responded that there are no differences of opinion with Hamsa and that he has done many remarkable activities as the chairman.
