BENGALURU: Complaint that a truck that left Karnataka with tomatoes has gone missing. The truck was taking tomatoes worth Rs 21 lakh to Jaipur in Rajasthan. It is reported that the driver's phone is switched off.
The owner of the truck was unable to contact the driver and lodged a complaint with the Kolar Nagar police. Police said that the truck driver and his partner stole the vehicle and tomatoes. An investigation has been initiated to find them.

In recent weeks, the price of tomatoes has gone up to Rs 150 per kg in some parts of the country. The price has gone up due to a shortage of tomatoes in the market. Even tomatoes are getting stolen due to its high price. Earlier this month, tomatoes worth Rs 2.7 lakh were stolen from Hassan district in Karnataka.
