THALIPARAMBA: CPM State Secretary MV Govindan has rejected the NSS demand that Speaker AN Shamseer should retract and apologize for his remarks criticizing Lord Ganesha, the idol of Hindus. He was talking to the media persons at Thaliparamba.
"Myths should not be made part of history. You will see that there is no problem in Shamseer's statement if things are understood scientifically. We cannot agree with the campaigns demanding that Shamseer should resign from the post of Speaker and apologize. CPM is with the general stand that myths, history, and science should be looked upon separately," Govindan said.
