THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Music director and state film award winner M Jayachandran said that there is a strong lobby working against him in the music industry and that he was left out of several films because of this lobby.

"I was ousted from films even in recent times because of the lobby. However, the 11th state award is proof that the almighty's lobby is with me," Jayachandran said at Meet the Press organized by the District Journalist Union.

"I am someone who walks alone in films. I have to challenge myself every minute and produce hit songs if I need to get a chance in Malayalam cinema. It is not easy for me to get invited to films as I'm working by considering music as an art rather than looking at the commercial aspect of cinema. However, I believe that there is a certain path for me. I will walk through that path. My desire is to become an unparalleled person in the film music industry. I am working with that desire," he added.
