The violence started when Vishwa Hindu Parishad's Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra reached the Muslim-dominated Nuh near Gurugram. A group of youth blocked the procession on the Gurugram-Alwar highway. Later, they threw stones at each other and the assailants set fire to the vehicle. As the tension did not subside, the police fired tear gas and fired in the air. According to preliminary information, the conflict arose over a defamatory video shared by a Bajrang Dal worker on social media.
