CHENNAI: Chandrayaan 3 has completed its orbits around the earth and is heading towards the moon, ISRO said on Tuesday. Last night, ISRO successfully completed the trans-lunar Injection, which brings the spacecraft into the Moon's gravitational field. The spacecraft will enter lunar orbit on the 5th of this month.
Chandrayaan-3 lifted off successfully from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota on July 14. The journey from Earth to the moon for the spacecraft is estimated to take about a month and the landing is expected on August 23.
