THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: IG Guguloth Laxman in his plea filed in the Kerala High Court requesting to acquit him in the financial fraud case including Monson Mavunkal, said the allegations levelled against the office of the chief minister was without his consent. He wrote a letter to Chief Secretary V Venu pointing this.

The IG asked his lawyer to withdraw the plea. In the letter to the chief secretary, Laxman said that he has not yet seen the plea filed in the court. The IG also said that he came to know about the reference against the chief minister's office through media reports.

The plea filed through advocate Noble Mathew said that there is an extra ordinary constitutional authority functioning in the CM’s office in the state. This authority is dealing with compromising, mediating and arbitrating some of the financial dealings in the state. This authority even resolves disputes referred to various arbitrators by the HC.

The plea claimed that even the illegal action against him is the intervention of these invisible hands and unconstitutional intelligence. However, who they are is not specified in the plea. Justice Raja Vijayaraghavan has adjourned the plea to August 17 seeking government's stand.
