NEW DELHI: Incidents of violence continue in the state of Haryana. In Nuh, where the conflict broke out yesterday, the mob destroyed restaurants and set shops on fire. The violence between the two factions continues and the shops have been set on fire even today. So far, four people, including security personnel, have lost their lives and many others have been injured in the clash.
After the communal conflict broke out, Chief Minister Manohar Lal came out asking the public to exercise restraint. But the Chief Minister's suggestion was not taken at face value and the conflict spread to other places as well.
The clash erupted after a group blocked the Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra led by the VHP yesterday on the Gurugram-Alwar National Highway. After the stone pelting, the attackers set fire to the vehicles. Firing was also reported. Two home guards were shot dead yesterday. A mob gathered and set fire to a mosque in Gurugram this morning. Two people, including the Imam, were shot dead in the incident. There was a rumour that the VHP activist, who was accused in the alleged cow smuggling case, was also participating in the rally held yesterday. According to this information, a group stopped the rally.
