PALAKKAD: Theft at the house of actress and dancer Malavika Krishnadas. The theft took place in her house in Nhangattiri, Palakkad. According to the complaint valuables including a watch worth more than Rs one lakh has been stolen. The footage of the thief has been captured on the CCTV of the neighbouring house.

The theft took place when Malavika and her family were not at home. The information of the theft had come out only after the maid came and opened the house in the morning. The maid found the things in the bedroom and kitchen of the house scattered. Many things in the house were also broken.

Malavika's watch worth Rs 1.5 lakh is also among the stolen items. Gold and money were not kept in the house so they were not lost. The dog squad reached the spot and searched. The iron rod and chisel used by the burglar to open the house were found on the premises of the house. It is reported that the abandoned iron rod was stolen from the nearby hollow bricks shop. The footage of the thief was caught on the CCTV of the house next door. Police are currently conducting an investigation.
