KOZHIKODE: Harsheena led a sit-in protest at the DMO office under the leadership of the Samara Sahaya Samithi to protest against the fact that the medical board did not hold a meeting despite the positive police report. The incident happened yesterday morning at 11:30 am. The DMO was not present at this time.

After an hour and a half, DMO Dr Rajaram held discussions with Harsheena and the leaders of the Samara Samithi. He said that a meeting would be held within the 8th of this month and the report would be handed over to the police on the same day.

The DMO also assured that the radiologist to be included in the board would be found tomorrow. Following this, Harsheena and the leaders of the Samara Samithi returned. Meanwhile, Harsheena's strike in front of the medical college hospital has surpassed 72 days.

Dinesh Perumanna, the chairman of the Samara Samithi, said that if the report is not submitted by the 8th of this month after the medical board's meeting, the strike will be moved to the secretariat. The problem is that the health minister has not intervened in the matter. Dinesh Perumanna also asked how many days it would take to bring the radiologist to Kozhikode if the health minister wanted to do so.
