KOLLAM: Two natives of Kollam have been arrested in the case of sexually abusing an American woman, aged 24, after giving her liquor. The two have been identified as Jayan and Nikhil of Cheriazheekal in Kollam. She was sexually abused on July 31.

The woman had reached the Amrithapuri Ashram. The two approached the woman, who was sitting at the beach near the ashram and offered her cigars. She rejected it and then they lured her with a bottle of alcohol and took her on their bike to an empty house. They sexually abused her after giving her liquor.

She reached the ashram after regaining consciousness and informed the authorities. They took the woman to the hospital and filed a complaint with the police. The two were arrested following an investigation.
