THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The ninth session of the fifteenth Legislative Assembly will meet from the 7th to the 24th. 14 bills will be considered. Speaker AN Shamseer said in a press conference that 12 days of the session are for legislation. The funeral service of former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and former Speaker Vakkam Purushotham will be held on the first day. Unofficial discussions on 11th and 18th and budget request on 21st.

Bills to replace ordinances issued to prevent violence against health workers and increase taxes will be considered in the session. 2 Bills will reach the House after consideration by the Select Committee, including the Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Bill. Ten Bills including the Co-operative Societies Amendment, Motor Vehicle Workers Salary Amendment, PSC Amendment, Abkari Amendment, Self-financing Medical Education Amendment and CRPC Amendment are likely to be considered.

Opposition protest on Sabha TV

The second edition of the Kerala Legislature Book Festival will be held from November 1 to 7 at the Assembly courtyard. There will be participation from international publishers. World celebrities in literary, social, artistic and cultural fields will participate. Books can be purchased from here using MLA funds for school libraries. The speaker also informed that footage of the opposition protest will be shown on Sabha TV. Legislative Assembly Secretary AM Basheer also attended the press conference.
