THRISSUR: Two youths were arrested for vandalizing the bar for not supplying liquor at a lower price. The Guruvayur police arrested Abhishek alias Kurudi and Kannarath Sreehari, natives of Iringapuram. They attacked and injured the bar employees. The incident happened last night at around 10:30 pm at Fort Gate Bar in Kottapadi.

The incident started when four including the arrested came to the bar and demanded to supply liquor worth Rs 140 per peg for Rs 100. A dispute broke out between them and after a ruckus, the team left from there. They came later with some iron pipes and wooden sticks and smashed the windows in front of the bar. The bar staff who tried to resist were beaten and injured. They sought treatment in hospitals.

The bar owner lodged a complaint with the police claiming a loss of Rs 2 lakh. The accused who escaped after the incident were caught from Chattukulam. The accused were produced in the court and remanded.
