MUMBAI: In a horrific video released, senior students of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) were seen brutally flogging their junior cadets while placing their faces down in the mud. The incident got to light after other students surreptitiously shot the video from classrooms in Vidya Prasarak Mandal's college in Maharashtra's Thane.

Students were made to lie down in a way that saw their heads immersed partially in mudwater while their posteriors raised further high from the ground. The senior students were seen flogging the students with a thick shaft. Many students were howling in desperate cries and pleading for help while the beatings continued unabated.

Meanwhile, college principal Suchitra Naik expressed shock and asked for more students to come up with complaints. However, most students and parents are apprehensive about complaining and fear retribution. The principal said that for forty years, the college has been a center for many NCC training but nothing of this sort has happened.
