CHIRAYINKEEZHU: A young fisherman about to be married next week died in a shocking train accident on Thursday. Vincent Cyril (36), son of Cyril and Pushpamma couple, was on his way to invite relatives to the wedding when the accident happened. The incident took place during early dawn today. According to reports, Vincent was crossing the tracks but was taken by surprise when the Kollam-bound Ernad Express rammed into him.

The incident has taken the family into disbelief as Vincent's marriage with a native of Anchutengu was scheduled at St. Peter's Church on August 17th. Due to the ill health of his parents, Vincent himself took responsibility to reach the homes of relatives with the invitation. Vincent left home early morning yesterday informing his parents about going to Kollam to invite close relatives to marriage.

After the postmortem, the body was cremated at St. James Church, Thazhampally.
