THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Central government representative in temple’s governing body Kummanam Rajasekharan responded in the incident of a helicopter hovering around Padmanabhaswamy Temple in a suspicious manner. The copter flew around the temple on July 28. The copter flew around five times and asked the government to see it seriously. Who brought the copter there, what was their goal and how did this happen. There is no answer to these questions, pointed Kummanam. He responded via his Facebook page.

He clarified that it is an incident raising anxiety and the devotees are a bit concerned. This happened when the pooja was going on at 7 pm in the temple. This incident cannot be seen as a coincidence. Moreover, it cannot be dismissed as an isolated one, he said.

‘The temple has ornaments and gold collection worth crores in the temple. When more than 200 cops are deployed on security matters, a helicopter hovering around the temple cannot be dismissed lightly. The helicopter reached there when there was a rule that one should not travel over the temple by air. This leads to mystery’, said Kummanam. The secrets of it should be exposed, said Kummanam.

The temple executive officer Mahesh told Kerala Kaumudi Online that more is not known and the reason is not clear.
