PATHANAMTHITTA: Accused Anusha's statement that she injected Sneha in a private hospital to kill her so that she could live with her husband. Anusha (25), a native of Kayamkulam Pullukulangara, tried to kill Sneha, the wife of G Arun, a native of Kayamkulam Karelakulangara, who was undergoing after-pregnancy treatment for her baby at Parumala St. Gregorios Multi-Speciality Hospital. Sneha (24) who felt unwell is being treated in the hospital.
Anusha, who was married twice, was close to Arun. Anusha testified that she did the deed to show her love for Arun. However, Arun says that he has only a friendly relationship with Anusha. Police have received WhatsApp chats between the two. The phones will undergo scientific testing. A conspiracy is also suspected behind the incident. At 3 pm on Friday, after making sure that Arun was not in the hospital, Anusha reached Sneha's room and tried to kill her by injecting air into her arteries with an empty syringe and causing cardiac arrest (air embolism). Sneha was injected three times. When she screamed in pain, Sneha's mother and the hospital staff, who got suspicious, stopped Anusha and informed the police.
Pulikeezhu police registered a case against Anusha for impersonation and attempted murder, produced her in Thiruvalla court and remanded her. Arun studied in school with Anusha's sister and that's how the two got to know each other. Anusha, who separated from her first marriage, married another man two years ago. He is abroad.
