KOCHI: Ananthalal, former CI of the state crime records bureau has put up a painting exhibition named 'A Police Story' at the Durbar Hall. Ananthalal who has also worked as CI of Eranakulam Central is an incredible painter who draws inspiration from his experience in the police force.

The Alappuzha resident, who was fond of painting since childhood, used to do watercolours. After becoming a part of the police force, he had no time to pursue panting. After being appointed as the first in charge of the metro police station, he realized his desire to hold a painting exhibition. Subsequently, he decided to study painting scientifically. The turning point came when he started studying painting under art teacher Suresh.

In between his busy work, he found time at night to learn to paint brilliant paintings, including acrylics. After being transferred to the Crime Records Bureau, he devoted his public holidays to painting.

The pictures are prepared by capturing the experiences of being a part of the police force. Pictures of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, former DGP Anil Kant, North Region DIG K Sethuraman and former Kochi City Police Commissioner C H Nagaraju have also been featured. The exhibition will end at 7.
