NEW DELHI: CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said there was nothing more to add to the CPM state secretary’s explanation of the ‘myth’ controversy. Yechury later opened up to the media and revealed he had no great knowledge about the controversy. The central committee meeting ongoing at HKS Bhavan in New Delhi will not discuss A N Shamseer’s myth remarks even on its final day, said Yechury.
According to party top brass, it is enough to discuss state issues within state committees, while the central committee can be made used for better discussions. According to the general secretary of the party, the explanation from the CPM state secretary was convincing enough to not proceed with the same thing inside the central committee.
Meanwhile, NSS is heading to a no holds barred approach in the controversy. The demand for an apology is more pertinent than ever but the idleness from CPM officials is brewing more discord between NSS and CPM. The director board meeting of NSS also decided to not grovel before CPM oneupmanship.
