NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply to the no-confidence motion of India alliance in the Lok Sabha today. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will also be in the Lok Sabha to hear Modi's reply.

The discussion on the motion will resume at 12 noon. Dean Kuriakose and Hibi Eden from the Congress and Lok Sabha leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary will speak just before the Prime Minister's speech.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah yesterday said the violence in Manipur is decreasing and asked not to politicise the issue. In the no-confidence debate, Rahul Gandhi criticized that they killed Bharat Mata by letting the people of Manipur die.

The Prime Minister has not been present in the House since the commencement of the Parliament session on July 20. However, he comes to the Prime Minister's office in the Parliament every day. Since then, the opposition has been calling for the Prime Minister's statement on the Manipur issue.
