THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP State President K. Surendran lambasted both CM Pinarayi Vijayan and V D Satheeshan’s purported plan to transfer Sri Padmanabha Swamy Temple's money and gold to a museum.

“ Sri Padmanabhan’s treasure is not something for the government to trade with. If any attempt is made to open the B vault, the people of the state will stampede on the leaders and will kick them into the Arabian Sea.” Surendran opined while inaugurating the assembly march held by the BJP district committee.

Surendran later attacked Minister Saji Cherian for eating his words on the infamous Saudi comment only after getting negative feedback from minority sections. Surendran juxtaposed this issue with speaker Shamseer's Ganapati's remark and highlighted the hypocrisy and the government's inferior treatment meted out to Hindus. Surendran also commented on the current monthly salary controversy and said the UDF leaders are also culpable along with CM’s daughter Veena Vijayan.
