THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mathew Kuzhalnadu MLA has said that neither the income tax returns filed by the Chief Minister's daughter Veena Vijayan nor the affidavit given by her husband and minister PA Muhammed Riyas to the Election Commission has revealed anything about the money bought from a private company called CMRL. The MLA said that those who say that the proceedings are transparent have a responsibility to disclose whether the money was taken.

'Veena Vijayan has shown Rs 8,25,708 in 2016-17, Rs 10,42,864 in 2017-18, Rs 22 lakh in 2018-19 and Rs 30,72,841 in 2019-20, in her income tax return as income. If CMRL took money from the company then why was it not mentioned in the election affidavit. I don't accept the position that the children of politicians should not do business. But the information of the business must be disclosed. Veena should be ready to release the names of the organizations with which she has business partnerships in case of mystery in the transactions. People want information. Mathew Kuzhalnadan said that he cannot be stopped by turning off the microphone or threatening him in the assembly.

'CPM leader AK Balan's statement that the opposition did not raise Veena Vijayan's issue in the house because of fear shows the current state of mind in the CPM. CPM used to fear the people but now they fear Pinarayi. Everyone from PB down is afraid of Pinarayi. CPM and CPM leaders fear Pinarayi. This shows the decline of CPM. The opposition has no fear of the Chief Minister. Mathew Kuzhalnadan stated that most of the things in the statement of the CPM Secretariat on the issue of CMRL are for the Chief Minister's daughter and only two lines for the Chief Minister.
