BEIJING: Two people died in the heavy landslides that occurred in Xi'an province of China. Xi'an's corn and rice crops are getting damaged in the heavy floods, instilling fear of global food inflation.
In the heavy rains that lashed the Xi'an province, 16 people have gone missing. Many international news agencies reported that two houses in the village were swept away by the landslide while many bridges and roads were destroyed. Electricity is also disrupted in these regions.
According to rescue workers, the search for the missing people is undergoing. Northern China is still grappling with fear and according to the forecast, rains will continue unabated in the country for another week. A CCTV visual of workers rescuing four people trapped in the landslides has gone viral. According to the government, 78 people died in the deluge.
Mudslide is turning common in regions close to Xian. According to the emergency management officers, more grueling days of concern are on the cards for China and the people are asked to perform caution.
