THIRUVALLA: The police arrested a young man with 300 grams of ganja from a lodge in the city along with a missing woman. Anilkumar (32) of Adoor was arrested by Tiruvalla Police. The police did not file a case against the 22-year-old woman who was arrested along with him.

After the girl went missing, the relatives filed a complaint with the Kodumon police. Based on this, the two were arrested on Thursday night from a lodge near Tiruvalla during an investigation based on mobile numbers. They took the room in the lodge on Thursday morning.

The police seized ganja in packets of 5,10 grams from the youth's bag which was found in the room. Anil Kumar was suffering from leptospirosis and was being treated at Pathanamthitta General Hospital three weeks ago. At the same time, the girl from Kodumon was in the hospital with her grandmother. The police said that this acquaintance resulted in love and eloping with him. The girl was handed over to Kodumon police. Anil is married and the father of one child. He will be produced in court today.
