KOLLAM: A youngster was arrested after he sexually molested a minor girl near Kollam. The accused offered the girl fake promise of a role in a television serial and took her into confidence. Pallithottam native Rahul(30) was arrested by police. It was during June that Rahul coaxed the girl with a television serial role and chanced upon to assault her.

After securing many photographs of the minor girl, Rahul set out a devious plan. He morphed all photographs with explicit other images and threatened about making the image viral. The minor girl perturbed by the happening succumbed to the pressure. Rahul took her to his house near Kollam Bypass and sexually assaulted her. The girl was shattered but decided to not talk about the issue again. However, Rahul turned into a menace and started calling her again reiterating the old threatening ways. This was when the girl gained some courage to approach the police with a complaint.

The accused was arrested after conducting an investigation by the police.
