KOCHI: It has been alleged that a seven-year-old girl who came to the hospital with a fever was given an injection for rabies. The incident took place at Angamaly Taluk Hospital. The vaccine was mistakenly given to a girl who came for a blood test after suffering from a high fever.
The child was taken to Taluk Hospital on August 9th due to a fever. However, the fever did not subside even after two days of returning from the hospital. Following this, the child was again taken to the hospital. After the doctor ordered a blood test, the child was taken to the examination room. According to the complaint, the nurse gave rabies shots in both arms of the child when the mother moved aside to fill out the form. The family demands that action be taken against the hospital authorities for giving the vaccine.
