NEW DELHI: On the occasion of the 77th Independence Day celebrations, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the national flag at the Red Fort in Delhi tomorrow, 1,800 people from various sectors of the country, including artisans, will be the special guests. For the first time in history, 50 corporal-ranked personals of the Border Roads Association under the Ministry of Defense have been invited as special guests at the Red Fort ceremony. They are the people who are involved in the construction and maintenance of roads across the country's borders.

Apart from hoisting the national flag at every house as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga scheme, the Prime Minister also called for changing the DP on social media accounts. Har Ghar Tiranga campaigns were organized in Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the campaign in Ahmedabad. A dress rehearsal was held at the Red Fort.

Selfie points are places like the National War Memorial, India Gate, Raj Ghat, Vijay Chowk, New Delhi Railway Station and Jama Masjid Metro Station. This is part of the campaign of projects like Digital India, Yoga, Swachh Bharat and Jal Jeevan Mission.
