NEW DELHI: Soon after China's incursion into the Galwan Valley in the border in June 2020, India was on a lightning-quick war footing, defense sources have revealed.

Meanwhile, India-China military talks are going on today. The 19th core commander discussion is taking place in Chushul on the border.

India was ready to face anything against Chinese aggression in Galvan. 68,000 troops and 9,000 tons of war material from different parts of the country were brought near the Line of Control in eastern Ladakh within hours.

The Air Force's large transport aircraft such as C-130J Super Hercules and C-17 Globe Master were used for the special operation. 90 tanks, sophisticated weapons and ammunition, 330 military vehicles and radars were airlifted.

The deployment of troops was equivalent to the operation on the Indo-Pak border after the Parliament attack in December 2001.

At present, India and China have deployed 60,000 troops each on the border.
