THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thiruvananthapuram 1st Additional District Sessions Court found two accused guilty in the radio jockey Rajesh murder case. Court found the second defendant Muhammad Salih and the third defendant Appunni to be guilty and acquitted nine accused in the case due to lack of evidence. The sentence will be pronounced on the 16th of this month.
The incident related to the case took place on March 27, 2018. The murder took place in the morning inside Rajesh's own recording studio in Madavoor, Kilimanoor. A quotation gang led by Muhammad Salih entered the studio and hacked Rajesh to death. Kuttan, who was with him, was also hacked.
Abdulla Sathar, the first accused in the case and a Qatari businessman, native of Ochira, has not been arrested yet. Rajesh, who had previously worked abroad, had a friendship with Sathar's wife, a dance teacher, and the subsequent suspicion led to Rajesh's murder.
Ochira Memana Panachamoodu native Muhammad Salih alias Sali, the second accused and an employee of Sathar came in person from Qatar and planned the murder. Sali, who fled abroad after the murder, was arrested by the police after bringing him home.
