THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The ‘Athidhi Portal Kerala’, an intensive program meant to register all incoming migrant workers to the state has already crossed the registration of 25,000 workers. The portal will provide all the vital details of migrant workers in one click.
Labor Commissioner Arjun Pandian informed that the workers, employers, and contractors have taken a positive approach towards guest worker registration and gave hints about more intensified registration in the coming days.
An ingeniously developed Athidhi mobile app is in the final stage of completion. The app is expected to smoothen the registration process in the coming days. With the launch of the app, the registration process will be initiated directly to the workers in addition to many registrations happening in facilitation centers, labor camps, and construction sites. The commissioner informed about deputing more officials and also sought the help of volunteers to help tackle the registration burden.
Apart from guest workers, their contractors and employers also have the opportunity to register workers. By just using a mobile number, the registration can be completed in athidhi.lc.kerala.gov.in
Instructions on the website will be available in different regional languages. After entering the details, an enrolling officer will verify the profile and if proven authentic, the officer will allot a unique ID for the migrant worker to safely carry everywhere.
