KOCHI: The High Court has lashed out at the police for not arresting all the accused in a case where Youth Congress state secretary Vishnu Sunil was attacked by DYFI workers. The High Court said that only five of the 15 accused have been arrested even after five months of appointing a special team in the case and that it is surprising that others have not been arrested yet.

The court directed the Kollam City Police Commissioner to appoint a new team within seven days to conduct the investigation on a petition filed by Vishnu Sunil alleging that the current investigation was unsatisfactory. Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas also opined that the petitioner's allegation that the police are inactive as the accused are influential seems to have merit.
