BENGALURU: Indian cricketers KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer will make a comeback to starting eleven during the Asia Cup tournament scheduled to begin by the end of August. Both Rahul and Shreyas are undergoing their final session of recovery from injury. Indian cricket team coach Rahul Dravid also gave a hint about the duo's return the other day at a press meet.
Currently, both players are undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. Shreyas Iyer successfully completed back surgery after suffering from lower back issues for a long time. Meanwhile, Rahul underwent surgery on his right thigh in May. According to reports, both players have returned back to full fitness ahead of the crucial Asia Cup tournament. Dravid's aim is to test both of them in the Asia Cup before considering them in the World Cup. Meanwhile, in another good news, Rishab Pant who survived a drastic car crash is recuperating well and is nearing full fitness.
