IDUKKI: Congress leader Mathew Kuzhalnadan MLA reacted to CPM's allegations of money laundering and tax evasion. Mathew Kuzhalnadan stated that he owns land and house in Chinnakanal and there is no tax evasion and any inquiry is welcome. He said that he will reply to all the allegations of CPM tomorrow. 'The fact that I own land was made clear during the election itself. I will not hide from any accusation and will not say that it is a creation of the media. I will not comment on whether there is a political agenda behind this and I will respond to all the allegations after studying the allegations, Mathew Kuzhalnadan said.

CPM alleges that Mathew Kuzhalnadan has committed huge tax evasion. Mathew Kuzhalnadu and two partners showed a price of only Rs 1.92 crore for the property and resort registered at the Rajakumari sub-registrar's office on March 10, 2021. While in the affidavit given to the Election Commission, it was said that he owns land worth 3.5 crores. It is also said that 3.5 crore is for a half share. CPM Ernakulam District Secretary CN Mohanan explained that the actual cost of the land would be around 7 crores.

'CPM demands that a thorough investigation should be conducted in this regard. A complaint has been filed with the government and vigilance.
