KOCHI: Record sale of Onam bumper lottery ticket with first prize of 25 crore rupees. 19.9 lakh tickets were sold till Monday evening. More than a month before the draw, about 20 lakh tickets were sold out of the 30 lakh tickets initially printed. The lottery department is expecting to spend more than 70 lakh tickets.

In the second phase, 20 lakh tickets will go on sale soon. 4,41,600 tickets were sold on July 27 when the sale started. This is the first time in the history of the lottery department that such a sale was made on the first day. The draw will be held on September 20. Ticket price is Rs.500.

Last year, out of 67.5 lakh Onam bumper tickets printed, 66,55,914 were sold. This time acceptance has increased due to a change in the prize structure. There are 1,36,759 prizes compared to last time. Rs 5,34,670 prize in total. The second prize will be given to 20 people with Rs 1 crore each. Last time the second prize was 5 crores per person.

5th prize 2 lakhs each for 10 people.

People are showing more interest than last year. It is believed that there will be a big sale this year.
