KAYAMKULAM: Following a quarrel with her mother, a 17-year-old girl killed herself by jumping into a temple pond.The deceased has been identified as Vishnupriya, daughter of Vijayan and Radhika' of Chettikulangara's Menampally. Her parents are differently abled. At around 3.30 pm yesterday, Vishnupriya jumped into the pond of the Sri Krishna temple in Eruva while people were watching. The bystanders brought her to shore but could not save him. The body was shifted to Kayamkulam Government Hospital.
Vishnupriya had taken admission for LLB after Plus Two. In the suicide note, it was written that he loves his father and mother very much. The family lives in a rented house.
Once went viral for selling unniyappam
Vishnupriya used to try her best to solve the financial problems of her family. In her spare time, with the help of her fifth-grader brother, she earned income by selling unniyappam on the streets. The video went viral. The locals were saddened by the demise of Vishnupriya, who was a shadow to her differently-abled father and mother.
