PUNE: Two people were arrested for shouting pro-Pakistan slogans on the eve of Independence Day. The incident took place in the Kondhwa area of Pune, Maharashtra. On the evening of August 14, locals complained to the police that slogans of 'Pakistan Zindabad' were raised from a school under construction in the area. The police said that they reached the spot on Monday after receiving the complaint and arrested two people.
Akbar Nadaf and Taukhir were arrested by the police. Taukhir is a security guard at the construction site. Akbar Nadauf is an employee of a bakery in Kondhwa. Both have been booked under Section 153 of the Indian Penal Code (attempt to create riot with intent).
