KOCHI: The accused, who was found by the police for defaming actor Tovino Thomas through Instagram, is mentally ill. He is a native of Kollam and has not been taken into custody. Police are checking his mobile phone. The police informed them that he was speaking in a contradictory manner during the interrogation.

Tovino had complained to the city police commissioner claiming that he was defamed through Instagram. The Instagram link has also been provided along with the complaint. The complaint given to the commissioner was handed over to the Panangad police.

Meantime, the actor shared the poster of Tovino Thomas' upcoming movie Nadikar Thilakam on social media after the 2018 superhit film. Nadikar Thilakam is directed by Jean Paul Lal. Tovino’s other upcoming films include Ajayante Randam Moshanam directed by debutant Jithin Lal, Anweshippin Kandethum by debutant Darwin Kuriakose and Biju Kumar Damodaran's Adryshya Jalakangal.
