THODUPUZHA: A man was found shot to death in his bedroom. The dead is Sunny Thomas (57) of Mavadi Plakkal House under the Nedumkandam police station limits. The incident happened last night. When the family members heard a sound from his room and opened it, found Sunny lying in a pool of blood.

Though the police came and examined, found the cause of death as head injury, and registered a case on the suspicion of a suicide. However, in the preliminary post-mortem conducted in the afternoon, it was confirmed that there was a shot wound near his nose. No gun or ammunition was found in his room. The investigation is progressing.
