BENGALURU: Three persons, including two women, were arrested for extorting Rs 82 lakhs from a 60-year-old man after trapping him in a honey trap. The police arrested the three after the 60-year-old, a former government official, lodged a complaint after the accused demanded more money. The arrested persons are Reena Annamma (40), Sneha (30), and Sneha's husband Lokesh, (26). The complainant says that he met Reena Annamma through a friend.

According to the complaint, the complainant's friend told him that Reena Annamma was in need of money and that he should help her. Following this, Reena came and met him. She took Rs 5000 from him after saying that her five-year-old son had cancer. She then took money from him several times. According to the FIR, the complainant was taken to an Oyo Hotel in Electronic City last May and forced to have sexual intercourse.

Later, Reena introduced Sneha to him. Sneha too started demanding money from him saying that she had various issues. When he refused to give the money, the accused started threatening him by showing his private scenes with Reena. He decided to give them the money after the accused threatened to send the videos to his family and friends. Following this, Rs 82 lakh was transferred to different accounts of Reena Annamma and Sneha. The complaint also stated that the accused threatened to harm his daughter if he told anyone about the payment.
