CHENNAI: A transport employee protested in front of minister with baby in hand demanding transfer. S. Kannan, a resident of Theni, who works at the Gandhipuram Transport Office, placed his six-month-old baby under the minister's feet in protest.

Kannan was working at the Coimbatore depot. Kannan's demand was that his wife Munitha died due to dengue fever and he should be allowed to shift to his own place to take care of the baby. Kannan says that even though he submitted a petition to the minister and the head of the department, there was no result.

Following this, he brought his six-month-old baby and put it under the minister's feet during the public program and protested. Its footage was widely circulated on social media. Later, Chief Minister MK Stalin intervened in the incident and allowed Kannan's transfer to Theni.
