KOZHIKODE: Police decided to take statements from two doctors and two nurses, who were on duty during Harsheena's C-section surgery in Kozhikode medical college hospital.

Meanwhile, medical college AC K Sudharshan will approach court against the medical board’s reluctance to accept the police finding that the forceps found inside Harsheena’s stomach belonged to Kozhikode medical college.

“I am strongly supporting the police report. The medical board published a new report with two dissenting opinions including mine. I have decided to approach court against the medical board’s stance” Sudharshan said.

Attempts are being made to hastily record the statements of the doctors and staff before the court considers the case. This is nothing short of shrewdness to help the real culprits involved in the case. The health department is also abetting the move while the police are working hard to find the real culprits.

Dinesh Perumanna, convenor of the strike committee, welcomed the police decision to approach court without filing a complaint with the higher authority of the medical board.

Harsheena, who came to Kozhikode after the secretariat strike, did another satyagraha in front of the medical college on Thursday. Friday will be the 89th day of the strike.
