KASARAGOD: Stone and a broken water closet were found on the railway track in Kottikulam here. They were found near the Chembarika tunnel on the Kannur-Kasaragod track yesterday around 12 noon. An investigation has been initiated into the incident. District Police Superintendent Dr Vaibhav Saxena said that investigations are on and no further information is available. While the Coimbatore-Mangaluru intercity train was running, the loco pilot noticed that the train hit something. After this, Kasaragod railway station master was informed. The stone and part of the closet were found during the inspection conducted by the railway police and Melparamp police on the track. A part of the closet was found in a nearby house. In the past days too, stones were thrown at trains between Kannur and Kasaragod, including Vande Bharat between Thalassery and Mahi on Wednesday.
