Pinarayi surpassed C Achutha Menon who was Chief Minister for 2640 days. Achutha Menon was the chief minister for seven years, two months and 24 days. K Karunakaran, who was the chief minister for 3246 days, and EK Nayanar, who was the chief minister for 4009 days, are ahead of Pinarayi. Out of the 12 chief ministers in Kerala, only Pinarayi has led two ministries in a row. 23 Cabinets have been in power in Kerala under the leadership of 12 Chief Ministers.
