KOZHIKODE: The police filed a 3000-page chargesheet in the murder case of hotelier Siddique (58) of Tirur. The chargesheet was filed at the Kozhikode First Class Judicial magistrate Court 1V. The first and second accused are Muhammed Shibil and Farhana.

The accused killed Siddique on last May 18 at a lodge room in Eranhipalam. The police had found that the accused had snatched the hotelier’s car and Rs 150,000. After killing him, they chopped his body into pieces, carried it in a trolley bag and dumped it at the deep gorge in Attappady ghat road.

Soon after the murder, an amount of Rs 2 lakh was withdrawn from Siddique’s account on the day he was killed and the next day. The message came in his son’s phone. The family grew suspicious when Siddique’s phone was found to be switched off. His family had lodged a complaint mentioning that he had gone missing from May 18.

The investigation of the police focusing on the CCTV footage and the mobile phone reached Shibil and his friend Farhana, employees of Siddique's hotel. After giving information to the Chennai Police and RPF about them who fled to Chennai after the murder, the RPF team caught them from Chennai Egmore railway station.


After the murder, the body parts dumped in a trolley bag were brought to Attapady in Siddique's car and thrown to the gorge. After that, the accused reached Shornur and from here went to Chennai. Farhana's friend Chiku alias Ashiq who helped them is the third accused. They abandoned Siddique’s car at Cheruthuruthy on May 19.
