NEW DELHI: India's first 3D-printed post office has been opened in Bangalore. The construction of the 1021 square feet building in the city's Cambridge layout was completed in 45 days. With the help of 3D printed technology, the walls of the building are made by pouring concrete using special robotic machines. A special type of quick-setting concrete was used for this purpose.

The building was constructed by Larsen and Turbo Ltd. with technical assistance from IIT Madras. Usually, the construction of a building is completed in six to eight months.
