RAJASTHAN: In a bitter feud relating to tree cutting, a youngster was beaten to death in Rajasthan’s Alwar. Two people were injured in the clash. Wasim who was under treatment succumbed to injuries on Thursday night.
According to locals, Wasim was involved in a group that used to cut trees illegally and transport the same to Haryana without informing the forest officials. On Thursday a group of ten people stopped Wasim’s car and questioned the atrocity. A scuffle happened between the two groups and Wasim’s gang were attacked.
Additional SP Jagram Meena said that the police have registered a case against the forest department officials and have taken some suspects into custody. Earlier, Wasim’s family accused that it was forest officials who followed the car and started thrashing Wasim and his friends with sticks. A JCB vehicle and a jeep have been seized as well.
