KOLLAM: Five people were injured after a KSRTC bus collided with a mini lorry carting timber. The incident happened in Parimanam Neendakara on Saturday morning. Three people inside the mini lorry, the driver of the KSRTC bus, and one passenger were injured in the crash. All were shifted to a hospital in Kollam.

The accident happened at 3 am on Saturday. The KSRTC bus was heading towards Thiruvananthapuram while the mini lorry was coming in the opposite direction. According to reports, the bus rammed into the mini lorry after losing control over a turn. It took much effort from the locals and police to bring out the KSRTC driver who was stuck between rubbles of the front portion of the bus.

The Minilorry in the impact of the collision tumbled into a nearby pit. Traffic restrictions were imposed on the national highway. Chavara police and fire force carried out the rescue operation.
