A public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed against Rajinikanth-starrer 'Jailer' in Madras High Court. Lawyer ML Ravi, the petitioner, has demanded that the film's U/A certificate be revoked and an A certificate be issued instead.
The plea says that 'Jailer' has many scenes of violence which is not suitable for children. The petitioner stated that the film contains a scene where the villain is shown beating someone to death with a hammer. He also pointed out that the film was given an A certificate in the US and the UK. He also demanded that the exhibition of 'Jailer' should be stopped until a decision is taken on the petition.
