MOSCOW: Luna 25, which was launched by Russia to land on the moon before Chandrayaan - technical failure on the 25th. An attempt to lower the orbit ahead of the landing at the moon's south pole failed yesterday. Roscosmos, the Russian space agency, said efforts are underway to resolve the issue. Russia had announced that Luna's landing would take place between August 21st and 23rd. Luna-25, Russia's first lunar lander since 1976, was launched on August 11.
