THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Poet and president of Kerala Sahitya Akademi K Sachidanandan said that if the CPM comes to power for the third time in Kerala, the party will perish like in Bengal. "When the party comes to power twice in a row, it will become more arrogant. If it comes to power for the third time, it will lead to destruction. We saw it in Bengal. Comrades should pray that the party should not come to power for the third time to prevent the party from destruction.", Sachidanandan said.

"As seen in West Bengal, two terms can make a party arrogant and a third term can destroy it. I keep telling my comrades. Pray you don't come to power next time because that will be the end of the party", he added.

"I have a disagreement with the police system in Kerala, including the imposition of UAPA and the Maoist hunt. He also pointed out that the police approach towards Gro Vasu should never have been adopted by a Left government. The justification of the left is that the RSS faction in the police is behind this. Whatever it is, it cannot be accepted, he said.
